Confidential and Ethical Use of Data: All data collected during counselling is stored securely and used only in a safe and ethical manner, in full compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) May 2018 and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) regulations.
2. Exceptions to Confidentiality
While confidentiality is maintained in most circumstances, there are certain exceptions where disclosure of information may be required to protect your safety or others. These exceptions include:

Disclosure of Illegal Activity: If there is evidence or suspicion of illegal activity, I am required to report it to the relevant authorities.

Supervision: To ensure the best possible service, I engage in regular professional supervision with other experienced counselors. 5. Code of Conduct
As a counsellor, I adhere to the British Psychological Society (BPS) Code of Ethics and Conduct to ensure that I maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical practice. The key principles of this code include:

In addition, I am bound by the Ethical Guidelines for Counselling Psychologists and follow the best practices outlined by the BPS, including maintaining clear boundaries and ensuring that all interactions are safe, professional, and non-exploitative.
